Our History

The Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic was established in 1968 as a non-profit, free health clinic. We are driven by the needs of our community and our social obligation to provide benefit for the communities in which we operate, rather than the needs of shareholders. Developing and sharing better ways to care for patients.

In 2004 the clinic provided more than 87,000 patient visits and services. The patients are encouraged to provide a donation for services, but no one is ever turned away for lack of funds.

Located in the heart of Los Angeles, the clinic serves an impoverished but culturally rich population comprised of 85% Latinos. The clinic serves the unemployed, working poor who do not receive insurance or qualifiy for Medi-Cal, and the homeless.
